UK-based thermoformed packaging specialist Kingsmoor Packaging has named Kieran Thomas as business development manager.
Reporting directly to managing director James Hill, Thomas will be responsible for developing and supporting both existing and new customer accounts.
He joins the Somerset-based business with 12 years’ industry experience spanning customer service, procurement, and production planning roles.
Most recently, he spent four and a half years as a production planner, which provided insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by manufacturers and packaging buyers alike.
Kingsmoor said Thomas’s appointment strengthened its commercial team as the company ‘continues to invest in customer relationships and support its continued growth’.
‘Build my technical knowledge’
“I’m excited to be moving into a sales role and gaining experience in an area of thermoforming that I hadn’t previously been exposed to, while continuing to build my technical knowledge,” Thomas said.
“Kingsmoor appealed to me immediately because I started my career in a family-owned business and really enjoyed that environment. Everyone I’ve met throughout the interview process and during my first few days has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, making it a team I want to be part of.”
Hill added: “We’re delighted to welcome Kieran to the Kingsmoor team. His experience across customer service, procurement and production planning gives him a well-rounded understanding of both the commercial and operational sides of our business, which will be a real asset as he works with customers across a wide range of packaging applications.”
Meanwhile, UK-based packaging supplier Leyland Packaging has appointed Rebecca Dolan as business development manager.
The appointment comes as the 30-year-plus Northampton-based firm, which is owned by Macfarlane Group, seeks to grow its presence in the UK packaging market.
