Brazil stalls on soft drinks tax

Following pressure from leading beverage manufacturers – including AmBev and Coca-Cola – Brazil’s government has delayed plans to increase taxes on carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) and beer until after the FIFA World Cup football tournament, which finishes in July.
