US-based Del Monte Foods will be changing its name next year to concentrate on its Pet Products business after agreeing to sell its Consumer Products division – which includes a number of well-known canned food brands such as S&W and Contadina – to the owner of the Del Monte brand name in the Philippines for US$1.675 billion.
