European Commission clears AB InBev’s acquisition of SABMiller

The proposed US$104bn acquisition of SABMiller, the world’s second largest brewer, by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, was yesterday cleared by the European Commission under the EU Merger Regulations.
