Profits slip in first half at Nestlé

Food and beverage company Nestlé has reported first-half net profit of CHF4.1 billion (US$4.3bn), an 8.9 per cent drop compared with last year’s results. The business put this down to a one-off, non-cash adjustment to deferred taxes.
