Interpack 2029 moves to June with new six-day format

Interpack will move to an early summer date in 2029, with organisers introducing a new six-day format following feedback from exhibitors and industry groups.

The processing and packaging trade fair will take place at Messe Düsseldorf from 10 to 15 June 2029, running from Sunday to Friday.

The revised schedule follows discussions with exhibiting companies, the Interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. Organisers said the change responds to demand for a more compact event format focused on high-quality business contacts and more efficient use of time at the fair.

The move to a Sunday-to-Friday schedule also addresses feedback around the structure of the previous event, which spanned the weekend.

‘Important platform’

Thomas Dohse, director of Interpack, said: “Interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further.

“We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow.”

Organisers said the new format is intended to improve planning for exhibitors and visitors, including staffing, travel and stand organisation.

They added that the early summer timing will support the wider Interpack experience, with the venue’s walkways, outdoor areas and exhibition spaces providing opportunities for networking alongside the event’s business activity.
