Investment firm Energy Capital Partners (ECP) has acquired UK integrated waste and recycling firm Biffa for £2.1 billion ($2.6bn). Biffa’s chief executive Michael Topham said that leveraging ECP’s deep environmental infrastructure focused expertise would allow the company to accelerate its growth, enhance its capabilities and continue to change the way its customers think about waste….
