Veolia notes dramatic decline in bag collections

Plastics bags collected in the UK by resource management company Veolia have declined by 75 per cent since the 5p charge came into practice last October, with the number dropping from an estimated 170 million to 40m, according to Richard Kirkman of Veolia UK and Ireland.
