Liquid packaging supplier AeroFlexx has teamed up with Plastic Films Internacional (PlaFilm) to expand the commercial adoption of its technology across Central America, Colombia and Venezuela.
The strategic partnership aims to combine AeroFlexx’s packaging platform with the regional market knowledge of Colombian-headquartered flexible packaging firm PlaFilm, which has more than 25 years’ experience working with brands in Colombia, Venezuela, Central America, and the Caribbean.
West Chester, Ohio-headquartered AeroFlexx describes its technology as a lightweight, flexible package designed to perform like a rigid bottle.
Its patented airframe technology reportedly provides structure throughout use, while an integrated self-sealing valve enables controlled dispensing without a separate cap or pump.
Benefits of AeroFlexx technology
The format is claimed to reduce packaging components, improve transportation efficiency, and provide brands with a highly customisable platform for retail and e-commerce applications.
“Brand owners across the region are seeking packaging solutions that differentiate their products, improve performance, and advance sustainability without adding operational complexity,” said David Harf, president of PlaFilm.
“By combining AeroFlexx’s packaging technology with PlaFilm’s regional expertise, we can help customers identify the right applications and accelerate commercialisation.”
Boris Gavric, chief operating officer of AeroFlexx, said: “Partnerships like this are essential in pushing industry innovation forward.
“By combining our technology with PlaFilm’s regional reach, we can engage more customers, move qualified opportunities from evaluation to commercial launch, and establish a foundation for long-term regional deployment and scale.”
Dreiturm in the DACH region
The collaboration comes after AeroFlexx joined forces with Dreiturm, a German-based company serving the personal care, household product, professional cleaning, and own-label markets, in June.
Under the agreement, Dreiturm will exclusively market and promote AeroFlexx’s packaging technology in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
“With this partnership, we are laying the groundwork to make an innovative packaging solution available for the DACH market and offer our customers sustainable alternatives,” Jan Rudel, managing director of sales at Dreiturm said at the time.
