Altek signs up as Selig’s Indian distributor

Packaging solutions provider, Selig Group, is partnering with Altek International in India in order to shorten existing lead times to the local market.

In the first instance it will involve Altek warehousing and distributing Selig’s induction heat seal liners for the pharmaceutical sector. The service will subsequently be expanded to accommodate Selig’s food and beverage, nutraceuticals, agrochemical and cosmetics liner ranges as well.

Altek will be Selig’s exclusive Indian distributor and the former’s regional managers for fulfilment, Nishant Sharma and Sandeep Thakur, will work in conjunction with Selig Group’s Indian sales manager, Anshu Upadhyay. Operations are based out of Altek’s Mumbai warehousing facility and provide product fulfilment across India.

“The initial driver for this new partnership was to improve lead times and service to our existing Indian customers. We have listened and acted,” said Selig Group’s international sales director, Peter Tindale. “By creating this base in India, our customers can benefit from local lead times and currency rates, as well as avoiding import taxes.”
