Berlin Packaging has acquired Cosmei, an Italian packaging company specialising in beauty and cosmetics, as it looks to expand further into the sector.
Cosmei, founded by Michele Cicchetti and based in Bagnolo Cremasco, operates in the heart of Italy’s so-called Cosmetic Valley. The company is known for its design-led approach and its work in the indie, prestige and mass prestige (masstige) markets.

Its packaging ranges from minimalist designs to bespoke, high-impact solutions, developed in collaboration with brands.
Key Asian partners
Cosmei also runs a sourcing office in Guangzhou, China, which strengthens its international supply chain and provides access to key partners in Asia.

The acquisition of Cosmei is the latest in a series of European deals by Berlin Packaging over the past year. In November 2024, the company announced its purchase of German firm Rixius, which supplies rigid packaging across several sectors. More recently, in June 2025, it completed the acquisition of Romanian companies Sarom Packaging and Romgallia, strengthening its position in the glass packaging market.
