Shrink sleeve labelling manufacturer and equipment maker Sleever has taken a majority stake in Belgium-based Helios Packaging.
Sleever, did not give the financial terms of the deal, but said it would boost its presence in Europe, particularly in the Benelux region of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Located in Wommelgem in the province of Antwerp, Helios Packaging specialises in sleeve technology. Established in 2009, the family-owned company has an annual turnover of nearly €5 million ($5.43m)
France-based Sleever makes thermoplastics sleeve labels that are used in industries, including food, beverage, cosmetics, household cleaning and pharmaceutical. Sleever also supplies sleeving and shrink sleeve equipment and co-packing services.
Sleever’s revenue is about €150m ($163.8m) annually. Founded in 1973, the family-owned company employs approximately 1,000 people across 12 countries.
